Handing the Trump administration a second straight day of losses against its promise to end congestion pricing, a judge ruled this week that New York must be allowed to indefinitely keep tolling drivers below 60th Street in Manhattan.

"We're in a situation that's conducive to attract and keep some of our young people that have ... [gone] away to college, graduated, and young professionals that find it difficult to afford to live on Long Island," Hobbs said. "And so many of our projects are affordable."

Orbic hopes to eventually open three more plants in Suffolk at 120 Commerce Dr. and 155 Adams Ave., both in Hauppauge, and at 1560 Fifth Ave. in Bay Shore, said Narula, adding the company expects to create 1,000 jobs within five years.

Efforts to eliminate governmental regulations also have a cost. Eliminating background checks on guns and rescinding gun safety have a societal cost but also increase the cost of policing.

The goal of the project is to create an upgraded air terminal that could accommodate additional flights. It also must connect the airport to the Ronkonkoma Long Island Rail Road station, north of the airport, per Islip Town’s project guidelines from April 8.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said it took countless conversations with Equinor and White House officials, and the involvement of labor and business interests, to emphasize the project's importance and get Empire Wind back on track.
