Vote YES on your Bayport-Blue Point School Budget on June 16th. A YES vote is a vote for the betterment of our children.
- Vote Yes to avoid a Contingency Budget
- Voter Turnout was Low
- The new tax levy is 2% due to increase in Foundation Aid and Pre-K funding but also increase in Special Education needs
- All programs and staff will be maintained with the 2%
- If the revote fails, the district automatically goes to Contingency which eliminates all outside groups (My Kids before/after care, PTA, Scouts, Youth Leagues, etc...) are not permitted to use school property.
Contingency also will mandate $1.3 million more in cuts which could include:
- Elementary Gifted & Talented (1 Librarian)
- Elementary Literacy Coaches (1 Elementary Teacher)
- Elementary World Language Enrichment (4 World Language Teacher)
- Elementary Guidance Counselor (.5 Guidance Counselor)
- English as a New Language (4 ENL Teacher)
- Reading Services (.8 Reading Teacher)
- High School Musical Production
- Arts In Education Enrichment
- All 30 Elementary & Middle School Clubs
- All Ist-12th Grade Field Trips
- Support Staff inclusive of Teacher Assistants & Teacher Aides
- SRP Staff inclusive of Clerical, Custodial & Bus Drivers
- Middle School Musical Production
- Girls Varsity Flag Football
- All 19 JV Sports
- High School E-Sports Team
