Long Island Tourism Spending hits $8.4 billion in 2025

Long Island saw $8.4 billion in visitor spending in 2025, up 6.3% from 2024. That’s according to the “2025 Economic Impact of Visitors to New York,” a report released by Tourism Economics, a research company.
Suffolk County accounted for an approximate 60% of the region’s tourism sales, or $5 billion in direct visitor spending, while Nassau County accounted for about 40%, according to the study. Across Long Island, tourism supported 80,274 jobs – 43,543 in Suffolk, and 36,478 in Nassau. The sector generated $989 million in state and local tax revenue, up from $945 million in 2024.
