Gateway Tunnel work to resume after Trump administration delivers funding

The Gateway Development Commission — the New York and New Jersey board overseeing the $16 billion project — announced Wednesday morning it had received more than $200 million owed to the project by the federal government that had been withheld since October, when President Donald Trump declared the regional rail project "terminated."
"Workers will be back on the job very soon," Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) said in a statement. "Gateway is back on track."
