"I love being a union member because of the solidarity, connectedness and strength it brings. It allows workers to be protected and you always have advocates on your side to help give you a voice in the workplace. As a building rep for my local,  I get to help other members when they need it and help them navigate any situation that arises.  Our Union also  affords me the opportunity to help shape the future of not only education, but all unions-  helping to advocate for issues such as “Fix tier 6 “, and in the past “voting no on the Con-Con” .  I love getting together with my fellow union sisters and brothers from the L I Fed and working together to achieve a goal. I have met so many wonderful people along the way that have truly become friends all through my union work."
