Durso: What this year’s elections told us: It’s about working people

As a union leader, I view every election as a report card on how our nation values work itself. This year’s results revealed what working people already know: Too many families are struggling to stay afloat as the cost of everyday life keeps rising. Americans are feeling less confident and more anxious about paying for groceries, rent, childcare and healthcare. Beneath the partisan noise, our politics still come down to one question: Can ordinary people afford to live, work and retire with dignity?
