Another Successful Reception in the Books!

We had another incredible night at the Long Island Federation of Labor’s Annual Reception. We were proud to honor longtime NYSUT leaders Ron and June Smith, environmental champion Julie Tighe of NYLCV/NYLCVEF, and Oyster Bay Town Supervisor Joe Saladino — each of whom represents the power of partnership in building a better future for working people. The evening was a celebration of collaboration, both traditional and non-traditional, and a renewed commitment to standing shoulder to shoulder in the fight for dignity and fairness on the job.

We were also grateful to hear from Senator Schumer, who reminded us of the critical work underway to protect collective bargaining rights and safeguard vital institutions like the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS) and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). 

When we work together we make things better.
