New York State AFL-CIO Announces Endorsement of the New York State Equal Rights Amendment

Albany, NY – The 2.5 million member New York State AFL-CIO has endorsed passage of Proposal One, the New York State Equal Rights Amendment.
“The Union Movement represents individuals from all backgrounds and identities, and we are committed to the fight for social justice. Discrimination of any kind is unacceptable, and it is time that we amend our State Constitution to reflect that,” said Mario Cilento, President of the New York State AFL-CIO.
