United Airlines Flight Attendants, represented by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA (AFA), and United Airlines today reached an historic tentative agreement for 28,000 Flight Attendants.

Tomorrow, Saturday, May 10th, the National Association of Letter Carriers invites residents to leave non-perishable food items by their mailboxes.

"I’m happy with the agreement," said Guidice. "It’s a good and fair agreement.” He commended union members for "standing together in solidarity” through the months of negotiations, authorizing a potential strike, voting down an initial offer and rallying for better terms.

"It all affects us and our families so personally so we do really pay attention to county politics because we know that whomever is elected is going to either honor our contract or take money out of our pockets," said Michael Schwartz, a county police medic for 17 years and a member of CSEA Local

The AFL-CIO and its affiliated unions that represent workers across private and public sector industries sued the Trump administration over its dismantling of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service (FMCS), including firing mediators and staff, and closing field offices across the country.

“The board spoke strongly and in unison because they are sick and tired of the lack of action by Commissioner Sullivan when it comes to addressing conditions in the agency that are leading to violent assaults against PEF members and other staff who work there,” said PEF President Wayne Spence.
