Tuesday, June 23 is Primary Day, and this year it’s more important than ever. With so much on the line, every vote matters. Please encourage your members, friends, family, and neighbors to make their voices heard at the ballot box.

Albany, NY - The 2.5 million member New York State AFL-CIO announced the endorsement of New York State Comptroller Tom DiNapoli in his bid for re-election as well as endorsements of candidates running in primary races for Congress and New York State Senate and Assembly.

The need is great, but you can help. We invite you to join letter carriers and our partner organizations in the fight to end hunger in our communities by participating in the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.

Voting rights are workers' rights. When working people have a real voice at the ballot box, we can elect leaders who will protect our right to join a union, fight for fair wages, ensure safe workplaces, live free from discrimination and harassment, and retire in dignity.

“Although Northwell continues to fight against the safe staffing that we know keep patients safe, nurses were still able to secure improvements to care for Long Island patients and working conditions for nurses,” said NYSNA president Nancy Hagans said in an emailed statement.

You can support nurses by taking action to support their fight for the fair contracts that New York’s nurses and patients deserve.
