The AFL-CIO is committed to a future in which workers and their unions shape the future of work, especially as the development and deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) accelerates across the economy and public sector.

Every worker has the right to a safe workplace. That is a promise made more than 50 years ago on April 28, 1971, when the Occupational Safety and Health Act went into effect.
