Nationally, nine locations have voted in Starbucks Workers United to represent them and over 150 locations have filed for union elections. The campaign to organize Starbucks continues.
Three locations on Long Island have filed for an election (so far.) Massapequa and Great Neck are scheduled to begin their NLRB mail-in elections on April 8. Long Island union members have been holding events to support these workers over the last month. This Sunday, we will be heading to the third location in Farmingville to let the Starbucks workers know that we support their campaign for respect, dignity, and a voice in the workplace. I hope that everyone can join us and that you are letting your local baristas know that we support them.
