UFCW Local 342, an affiliate of the Long Island Federation of Labor, is engaged in a job action with Giunta Meat Farms. The union has filed numerous unfair labor practices, and they are asking for your support during these difficult times.
Another affiliate, Local 338 RWDSU/UFCW (Long Island Federation of Labor President John Durso is also President of Local 338) represents Giunta Meat Farms in all departments except Meat and Fish. While local 338 has an existing contract with Meat Farms, they fully support their sister local in their fight for a new contract.
We ask that you not buy your meat or fish at any of the Giunta Meat Farms until UFCW Local 342 and Meat Farms have concluded a contract.
