Solidarity Action- St. Catherine of Siena Maternity Services Closure

Please join us for a rally in support of NYSNA nurses on Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 5 pm at the Smithtown Fire House located at 100 Elm Avenue, Smithtown, NY 11787. The rally will be followed by a public hearing from 6 pm-8 pm where the public can make their voices heard. NYSNA nurses are fighting back against the announcement of the sudden closure of maternity services at St. Catherine of Siena Hospital.

At a time when maternal mortality rates are on the rise, it is unconscionable that hospital administrators would put profits over patients and take away health services that our community and neighbors depend upon. Nurses are demanding that hospital administrators reverse course and save these services. Administrators still have time to do the right thing by patients, nurses, and our families.
